1999 ICA Congress held in Italy.

The International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) held its 1999 Congress in Europe from May 16 to 19, 1999. The location for the Congress was Abano Therme, Italy, 30 km from Venice and 10 km from Padova.

The programme for the 1999 Congress opened with a reception on the evening of Sunday, May 16, at which time the Congress was passed from Brazil to Italy. A variety of interesting and informative sessions took place during the following days, covering topics of vital interest to all aspects of the coloured gemstone industry.

The Congress closed on Wednesday, May 19 with a Gala Evening at the Palazzo Pisani Moretta in Venice.








The International Colored Gemstone Association, headquartered in New York City and operating additional "GemBureaus" in Idar-Oberstein and Dubai, is the nonprofit trade association that represents the international colored gemstone industry, an extremely important and influential segment of the jewelry business. ICA has over 500 members in 46 countries worldwide.
