Kenya is going through some very tough times right now. All gem businesses are shut down. Nairobi is shut off from the rest of the country, so miners can’t get in, even if they have production.

It is very tough to export as there are virtually no airlines flying cargo, and those that do, prioritize perishables (Kenya is a big exporter of coffee, tea and vegetables). So even if you get your shipment onto a flight, it is frequently offloaded and replaced by perishables. So it can take weeks to get a single shipment out.

We are all looking forward to some normality.
