Gembridge lists catalogue on e-retailer Zbird for trade with China
PRESS RELEASE
8 March, 2022
Gembridge announced today that it is partnering with Zbird - one of China’s largest diamond and wedding jewellery online retailers – to make its coloured gemstone catalogue available on the e-retailer’s platform.
This enables Gembridge’s Trade Members to overcome the traditional challenges faced by the international coloured gemstone industry when selling to China, one of the world’s largest and fastest growing markets.
“Our Trade Members who list stock for sale on Gembridge will now also have their stock featured on Zbird’s platform, which targets millions of consumers in Shanghai and across China, and sells over US$150 million of diamond jewellery annually,” said Chen Shen, Gembridge Ambassador for China.
Zbird founder, Mr Xu Lei, said, “Gembridge impressed us with the quality and global breadth of their online inventory of coloured gemstones. Their professional system of cataloguing by experts and gemstone verification process make them an ideal partner for sourcing gem-quality coloured stones from around the world.“
“This new service offers our members easy importation via official channels, a trusted senior industry figure on the ground with our Ambassador, and assured payment when selling in China,” said Tony Brooke, Chairman of Gembridge.
“Data from the Chinese market will allow us to build a comprehensive picture of market insights and trends to help our Trade Members grow sales,” added Helen Molesworth, Gembridge’s Global Head of Business Development.
Gembridge is helping to pioneer the digital transformation of the coloured gemstone trade, providing a marketplace for members to buy, sell and consign via a secure, verified, and insured door-to-door service.
